Is there any way to get a discount at the MAC makeup counter?

If you work there what is your discount? Is there any way to get a discount at the MAC makeup counter?
i dont think soIs there any way to get a discount at the MAC makeup counter?
If you work for MAC, you get plenty of 'free stuffs' and discount.
You can get a discount at MAC if you are a 'performer' or in the makeup field. I'm a former professional ballet dancer, and if you show valid ID that you are an artist or theater person, you get 15% off I think...maybe more, I can't recall. So my advice is to hang out backstage at some theater and befriend someone so you can use them for a MAC discount! ha ha
The employee discount you get depends on what store you work for. Dillard's has a 25% employee discount; Robinson's May has a 30% discount, Penny's has a 10% discount. Some stores let you use your employee even on clearance items -- I wrecked havoc with $60 that day!

Cosmetics counters do not ever discount their makeup; it never goes on sale. The only time you might really get a deal at a makeup counter is when they're ';in gift';; i.e., when you buy two items to get the free gift back, or when they are discontinuing an item.

When you work for a cosmetics counter, you also get trained by that company in their techniques in application and you learn about their skin care, etc. When I worked for Dior, I got buckets of free makeup from my training sessions, not to mention the fabulous food, etc.

You still don't get a discount on the makeup that is for sale at the counter, but your discount helps out, and the fact that your MAC rep will kick you down free stuff on occasion isn't a bad thing at all.

In short, go for it! Best time I ever had in my life!

10-15% i think.....but sometimes it'll come out of your paycheck...

another MAC-aholic!
Yes, you can get a job there.
If you work there.... oh ya idk usually about 10-15 maybe even 20 percent
You can also get a discount if you work as a makeup artist, hair stylist, etc.
yes, but you have to be one of the following...

Make-up artists receive a 40% discount. Aestheticians, Cosmetologists, Hairstylists, Fashion Stylists, Nail Technicians, Costume Designers, Models, On-Air Talent/Performers, and Photographers receive a 30% discount.

You can get a MAC Pro card if you are one of the above, but you must apply for the card that gives you the discount. Here is a link for more information..
